Beautiful Røisheim was originally an old posting station dating from 1858, and the protected buildings in the courtyard date from the 1700s. All the rooms have their own distinctive character and bear witness to the history of the hotel.

Røisheim has always been a natural stopping point on the journey between east and west. Sognefjellsveien is Norway's highest mountain pass and showcases the mountain from its most dramatic and beautiful side. At Røisheim Hotell, every mealtime is a celebration. An exquisite three- or four-course dinner is served every evening, with ingredients and tastes from nature's treasure chest forming the natural starting point.

Set in a fertile landscape, the courtyard complex comprises 24 beautifully restored guest rooms in 14 buildings deemed worthy of preservation for their historical interest. Some of the rooms have an open fireplace, while others have four-poster beds or a hot tub in the bathroom. All the rooms have either a bathroom or shower en suite.
