Indulge in the taste of Hardanger - a combination of dramatic nature, traditions and world-class ingredients!

"Sider frå Hardanger" (Hardanger cider) is a Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) in the same way as Calvados and Champagne. This unique cider has enjoyed a renaissance and become an award-winning premium product. There are 19 cider producers in Hardanger, each making their own unique cider, based on their story and their apples.

Join a cider safari and visit one of the cider producers for an introduction to the production, culture and taste of cider.

This package includes:

  • Fjord cruise Odda-Nå (round-trip)
  • A unique cider experience

The experience starts at the quay in Odda, where you board the cider boat with departure at 12:55.

Glide past majestic mountainsides, glaciers, charming fjord villages, and hundreds of thousands of fruit trees in Sørfjorden - Norway's largest fruit orchard. Inside you will find Nordic inspired interior design offering a high level of comfort. The onboard café serves hot and cold drinks as well as a variety of pastries and sandwiches.

You disembark the boat when you arrive at Nå where you find your way to your designated experience. The cider experiences you can choose from are:

2-course lunch at Siderhuset Ola K: The old general store from 1912 has been resurrected as a high quality restaurant, serving dishes perfectly composed for the large selection of ciders they have on the menu. Indulge in the tasteful menu made from the finest, local ingredients available.

Alde Sider: Alde is an old name for apple in Hardanger, and the man behind Alde Sider is Olav Bleie. He runs the family farm where they have grown apples for generations. Alde Sider makes first class apple juice together with a wide selection of cider from Hardanger. You will be served classic, award-winning ciders combined with stories and a taste of Norwegian cheeses.

Edel Sider: At Åkre Gard fruit has been grown for eight generations. In recent years, the current generation has increased their focus on apple juice production, liquor, and cider from Hardanger. By using the Champagne and Charmant method, the cider farmers Arita and Gjermund have taken the traditional cider production a step further.

After a pleasant visit to the award-winning farm, the boat will return from Nå at 16:25.

Arrival at the quay in Odda at 17:15.

Sunday lunch at Siderhuset Ola K: On sundays we invite you to enjoy a 2-course lunch at Siderhuset Ola K combined with the stunning fjord cruise. The perfect Sunday activity!
